TOURNAMENT INFO

Event

  • Each event consists of two one-day tournaments:
    • Day 1: Youth Day (U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15)
    • Day 2: High School, College, Open, Masters (Over 33)
  • Teams will play in their age divisions for the entire 2011 season including the 2012 Championships.
  • 8 Men's Divisions and 7 Women's Divisions:

  • *12/31 is the cut-off date for the oldest player birth date. For example, Under 9 (born prior to 12/13/03), Under 11 (1/1/00 - 12/31/02), Under 13 (1/1/98 - 12/31/00), Under 15 (1/1/96 - 12/31/98).
  • † Any high school player including graduated seniors.
  • ‡ Any high school player. Geared for JV players including 8th graders.
  • § Any player older than 17 years of age.
  • ≠ All players MUST be over the age of 33 as of the event date.
  • Box Lacrosse field (approx. 40x24 yards) with NLL-sized goals (4'x4'6")
  • Full protective equipment required
  • Teams must provide their own reversible jerseys
  • We will provide goalie equipment
    • Full indoor protective padding
    • Throat protector

Youth Teams

  • Youth players and youth teams are allowed to play "up" to any age division. However, youth players and youth teams are never allowed to play "down" to any age group; no player can be older than the birth date posted for that age group.

    For youth teams, the division a team plays in is determined by the birth date of the oldest player on the team

Teams

  • 5-on-5 (including goalie) games.
  • Each team can range between 9-13 players.
  • Each team guaranteed 5 games.
  • Cost is $500 per team

Rules of the Game

  • NO FIGHTING, BOARDING, OR TAKE OUT CHECKS (subject to expulsion from event)
  • Officiated like field lacrosse
  • 30 second shot clock
  • Goals result in turnover to goalie clear

Boys

  • Full pads (gloves, elbow pads, shoulder pads, helmets, and mouth pieces)
  • The game will begin with a face-off
  • 20 minute running time games
    • Switch sides after ten minutes
  • Penalties
    • Minor penalties
      • Crosscheck, slash, tripping etc.
      • 0:45 un-releasable
    • Major penalties
      • Unsportsmanlike conduct etc.
      • 1:30 un-releasable
    • 2nd man down is replaced with penalty shot
      • Penalty shot: shootout style, shooter one-on-one with the goalie

Girls

  • Full eye protection and mouth pieces
  • 25 minute running time games
  • Penalties
    • Minor Foul- dead ball to possession
    • Major Foul (Non-yellow card)- fast break= both teams start at midfield, fouled player gets 4 yd. advantage to goal
    • Third tier- “Yellow card” equivalent= 1:30 un-releasable man down
      • Second "Yellow card" equivalent= Penalty shot: shootout style, shooter one-on-one with the goalie
